Quote of the Day
"It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit."
― Harry Truman
A lot of great people have put this quote on their desk as an important reminder. Nothing great is truly ever accomplished without a lot of unsung heroes.
This is important to keep in mind coming out of such a great weekend of updates at the Cardano Summit. There are so many hard-working individuals in the Cardano community and ecosystem the do their part behind the scenes without any acknowledgment or credit. They do it because they care about the end result - they want to change the world for the better.
This newsletter is dedicated to all of those people. Thanks for your hard work and dedication to changing the world for the better. I see and appreciate you.
Cardano Updates
Today’s newsletter is all about the Summit! Too many exciting things going on to spend space and time on anything else. Here are just a few of the top highlights from the weekend along with links to help you find more info about the topics you’re most interested in.
Cardano and Dish entered into a strategic collaboration to make blockchain services a core component of Dish’s consumer strategy. This strategy involves bringing Decentralized Identities (DIDs) to millions of Boost Mobile’s customers.
Cardano is, very smartly IMHO, prioritizing telecom companies like Boost Mobile and World Mobile in its strategy to bring blockchain products to consumers.
Cardano announced another strategic collaboration with the leading Oracle solution in blockchain - Chainlink. DeFi and RealFi require oracles to function. Oracles are data feeds of reliable and accurate data that drive smart contracts.
This partnership was only a matter of time and I’m thrilled to see it’s been announced. As I said on Twitter, I like Chainlink enought that I have a bag of LINK already.
IO Global is working on a new light wallet that provides A LOT of functionality. The user experience looks really slick. It sounds like this is expected in months, not years. Check out the screen shots of “Dan’s Wallet” below!
IOHK announced a $6M Africa Fund!
Emurgo announced a $100M investment in the Cardano ecosystem!
The summit wrapped up with “one more” news item. COTI platform is issuing the Djed algorithmic stablecoin on Cardano! This was described as coming in weeks with encouragement to check out this website (which is a little sparse on info at the moment).
Technical Analysis / Price Discussion
Zooming in a little more than normal to discuss how Cardano ADA behaved around the Summit.
ADA saw a nice price increase to a confluence of resistance right at the start of the Summit. After that, it saw a drop during Day 1 and then some sideways action during Day 2.
Seems pretty normal to me. People bought hoping for crazy news. Some sold a little because the news wasn’t earth-shattering.
If you zoom out like I did in Saturday’s newsletter, and consider that we’re about to enter historically bullish months of October - December, the situation looks pretty good to me (as long at the regulatory and Evergrande situations don’t get out of hand).
I’m looking for a breakout from the short-term channel shown below and the solid Wave 5 movement higher to begin in the next two weeks.
