Quote of the Day
"The more we value things outside our control, the less control we have."
— Marcus Aurelius
You know what I love about writing my newsletters? Finding and reflecting on the quotes. It is my favorite thing. I have always loved quotes.
And I love this quote. I have found it to be SO TRUE in my life. I have found myself valuing things outside of my control many times. I think we all do.
After reflection on the stress and anxiety I experience in situations like that, I inevitably conclude that, if I can’t influence or control the situation, I need to move on from it (assuming doing so is within my control).
Sometimes we value things that are outside of our control and we can’t move on from it - such as a sick or troubled loved one. The only thing that helps me in situations like that is my faith. I take that worry and situation to God and ask for his mercy, grace, power and patience.
But, as it is up to you, don’t value things outside of your control, it is a recipe for feeling out of control.
In The News
The biggest news coming out of the Bitcoin conference was the announcement that the President of El Salvador has proposed making Bitcoin legal tender very soon.
This is less significant as it relates specifically to El Salvador and simultaneously a HUGE DEAL for what it means for future dominos that may fall as a result.
Check out this thread from Caitlin Long that explains some of the potential ramifications.
Remember I’ve been telling you to pay attention to the shifting narrative around the Wuhan virus.
Per Adam Housley thread below (and additional tweets), the latest news on this front is that US intelligence have a Chinese defector that has indicated, not only did the Chinese create the virus in a lab, they intentionally let it spread once it was out and are now intentionally developing related bat-viruses to make it look like the Wuhan virus leapt to humans from bats.
Being told the increased pressure on China in recent days is due to a defector with intimate knowledge. In fact, Wray didn’t know right away because they wanted to make sure they got all they needed before telling him.If true, the geopolitical ramifications are enormous. Keep your eyes and ears out for more developments on this story.

Technical Analysis
Trendlines (my white lines) are becoming less important at the moment and horizontal resistance and support are more important (red and green) as this consolidation period gets tighter and tighter.
Always be caution of fake breakouts (fake-outs) and instead be looking for a break-out that is confirmed by flipping resistance and/or support on high volume.
That’s what I’m looking for as the indication that consolidation is over and we’re ready to move up or down. I expect the next move to be up, but I continue to be prepared for down.
What do you think? Do you think consolidation is almost over?
